Sidel Combi PredisTM Fma is a system for blowing and filling sensitive products under aseptic conditions. The key feature of this system, unlike other similar equipment, is its “preform dry sterilization technologyâ€: using hydrogen peroxide vapor (H2O2) The preform is dry sterilized at the inlet of the furnace instead of washing the bottle with water. The Combi PredisTM Fma combines the PredisTM solution with Sidel's latest SensofillTM Fma aseptic filling technology in a single blow molding, filling and capping machine.
Cost-effectiveness and environmental benefits
The benefits of preform dry sterilization solutions are numerous. While offering unparalleled cost-effectiveness and product and environmental benefits, PredisTM also guarantees superior hygiene for sensitive beverages. A traditional aseptic filling line uses 250m3 of water and 200litres of chemicals per day to sterilize the bottle, while PredisTM uses hydrogen peroxide vapor to dry-sterilize the preform.
PredisTM eliminates the need for water, greatly reducing the use of chemicals and eliminating the need for wastewater. Other benefits include energy savings, a small footprint, and the ability to use lightweight bottles. High temperature sterilization of preforms rather than bottles also avoids empty bottle thermal stress.
Some beverage manufacturers in Europe and North America have started using Combi PredisTM Fma equipment.

Treating low-acid beverages such as milk and other dairy products at room temperature is a real challenge and these products require very professional and careful handling. By working with dairy producers, Sidel began to enter the field: UHT milk was filled with a Combi PredisTM Fma aseptic filler.
